Delete Temporary Internet Files
In this article, we will briefly go over how to delete the temporary Internet files on your computer. This is a short and simple task, and you can also do it by simply going into your Internet Explorer® and into the options tab in the top right. There you will find a delete all temporary files button and you can simply click that and it will delete all the temporary files. Cookies will have to be deleted separately but more on that later.

What are Temp files?
The Temporary Internet files folder (Cache) contains the content of websites. They were saved onto your computer to load the contents of frequently visited sites faster. The cache makes sure that Internet Explorer® or MSN® Explorer only has to download content that was last changed on the site you just visited. The cache can be modified in the maximum size of things you want to be saved. You can also access the cache itself by going into your Windows® folders, but it is advisable to only do so if you know what you are doing. This way you can find files from websites that you might not have been able to download due to restrictions on the site.
How to delete Temp files?
To delete the temporary Internet files simply close Internet Explorer® and Windows® Explorer. Then click on Start and Control Panel. There you double-click “Internet Options”. On the General tab, you go to Delete Files and under Temporary Internet Files you check the Delete All Offline Files box and then click ok.
Click ok again and you are done. Deleting temporary files is great to get faster page-loading speeds as well. Do this regularly and you can surf the Internet easily and a lot faster than if you would have a large folder full of temporary files, which are mostly pictures but can also be other files as well.
If the Temporary Internet Files folder contains a larger amount of website data this can take a few minutes. If you do not have access to these files then it is best to contact a system administrator. Some files that are known as “cookies” may remain in your Temporary Internet Files folder. In this case, repeat the steps as above but go to the Cookies section to delete them.
