iYogi Expands Creative Team to Foster Global Market Opportunities
Gurgaon, India, March 09, 2011: iYogi, a direct-to-consumer remote tech support company, today announced the addition of Prathap Suthan as its Chief Creative Officer (CCO). Suthan will be responsible for evolving and building iYogi into a global brand. iYogi’s subscription based tech support services are currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia and are expected to expand to additional geographies.
Prior to joining iYogi, Prathap, known in Indian advertising circles as Pat, was the National Creative Director of Cheil Worldwide, SW Asia. While at Cheil, he played a key role in building the Samsung brand in India and repositioning Samsung mobiles in India post 2008. Before his three year tenure at Cheil, Suthan was National Creative Director of Grey Global Group, India. Two of his campaigns at Grey, India Shining and Incredible India, were instrumental in positioning India as a credible global investment opportunity, and as a compelling international tourism destination.
While at Grey, he also worked on SBI Credit Card, India Today, Domino’s Pizza, and several other high profile brands. Before Grey, Pat worked at Mudra Communications where he worked with clients such as Reliance Industries – Vimal, Pioma Industries, Ajanta Clocks, NDDB – Dhara, and others.
“I am delighted to be in the middle of an opportunity that most advertising people will never get – to build a global brand. I have helped create a lot of brands in India, but this is a paradigm shift; for me and for my team. It’s a whole new ball game, and with the way the world is going, this is the future in every aspect,” said Pat Suthan. “iYogi has already expanded its customer base rapidly through viral online marketing. And I’m looking forward to accelerating and reinforcing iYogi’s relevance and success through multiple platforms.”
With experience spread across 200 brands and more than 100 national and international awards, including the only Euro Effie ever won from Asia. Suthan is expected to bring a new outlook to iYogi’s unique platform-as-a-service model.
Commenting on Suthan’s appointment, Uday Challu, CEO & co-founder of iYogi, stated, "There will be no limit to the kind of work Pat can do as iYogi’s CCO. His fresh approach and unparalleled creative track record is right in-line with iYogi’s strategy of challenging the traditional delivery of online technical support head-on with a solution that is convenient, cost-effective and scalable. Pat’s new role will help partners and millions of potential global customers understand our offering as a major disruptive and innovative force in the market.”
